HAND CRAFTED BEER
A sessionable brew, our Pale Ale is designed for all-day drinking – an approachable pale with a tropical, citrus style finish. The mouthfeel is creamy, with bright floral characters on the nose and a well-rounded hoppy finish rather than a big dry punch in the face. The Pale Ale is non-filtered and free from nasties – as natural as I can possibly make it.

Our Lager is inspired by both traditional European Lagers and the classic Australian breweries that have quenched the thirst of our nation for generations. Easy drinking and approachable its dry and crisp on the palate with a soft and slightly fruity, hop finish. The Lager is the only brew we filter, a bright golden colour that’s crystal clear in the glass.

The IPA was the first of the seasonal recipes created, and is also the one that has always slightly evolved every time we have brewed it. Our current version stems from our standard Pale Ale but features less caramel malts resulting in a drier body, and has a big tropical hop kick right across the palate. This brew is designed for the craft beer aficionado who loves that big hoppy flavour.

Our hand crafted Mid-Strength beer was born from a seasonal Summer Ale and is a little heavier on the malt flavours and less about the big hoppy ones. The colour is a little richer due to the use of some darker malts, and the hops finish is a lot more prominent than a Pale Ale with an almost oily mouthfeel. This brew pairs perfectly with our famous NBD burgers and wood-fired pizzas.

With this brew I wanted to replicate a traditional English style, hand-pumped ale that is big on malt flavours and mellow on the bitterness. This brew is the hardest to make of them all due to its complex malt blend and delicate use of hops. At first I was hesitant to brew this as I really love the style but was unsure if the crowd would get on-board, but boy have they proved me wrong.

I know I shouldn’t have favourites but this is hands-down my pick of the bunch. Big chocolatey, coffee aromas paired with solid bitterness make this a year-round drinker, rather than a one hit wonder in winter. It’s a step up in flavour from a standard Brown Ale, but doesn’t drink anywhere near as heavy as a stout or porter which means there’s always room for another!
